From the root of your Umbraco web project, add the package and restore:
dotnet add package RedMorello.SurveyStudioOr, from the Visual Studio Package Manager Console:
Install-Package SurveyStudio
2
There's nothing to add to Program.cs. SurveyStudio wires itself up through Umbraco's composer pipeline on startup and adds its own SurveyStudio section to the backoffice automatically — no extra configuration required.
3
Start the site. On first boot SurveyStudio runs its migration automatically to create the tables it needs for surveys and submissions. Watch the startup log to confirm the migration completed, then let the site finish booting.
4
Sign in to the Umbraco backoffice and open the new SurveyStudio section from the section menu. From there you can create your first survey with the drag-and-drop builder — no template editing or custom Razor views required.
In Users → User groups, enable the "Survey Studio" section for the groups that should build and manage surveys.
5
Every install starts on the free trial, which includes 50 submissions with every feature unlocked — no card required. When you're ready to go live, buy a per-site license. After purchase you'll receive a license.lic file by email.
To activate it, add the file to your Umbraco project at:
umbraco/licenses/surveystudio/license.licRestart the site so SurveyStudio can pick up the license on startup, then confirm it's active in the SurveyStudio settings — the submission limit will be lifted once the license is recognised. One license covers one production site; staging and local environments for that same site don't need a separate license.

Add the package, and start creating some forms. You get a maximum of 50 submissions, before you need to purchase a license.
