Once Survey Studio is installed and licensed (see Licensing), a new Survey Studio section appears in the Umbraco backoffice sidebar. It opens onto a list of your forms — switch between list and grid view from the toolbar — with a New survey button to start one from scratch.
Every survey is stored as its own entity, versioned and publishable independently of pages — draft, preview and publish it the same way you would a page. Opening a survey drops you into the builder.
The builder is organised into tabs along the top of the canvas:
Designer is where you'll spend most of your time — see Building a survey next. The other tabs cover conditional rules, appearance, languages, and a raw view of the underlying survey definition for advanced edits.
Tip
Use the Preview tab at any point to test a survey exactly as respondents will see it — including any conditional logic — before publishing.
