The Designer tab is a drag-and-drop canvas. A Toolbox down the side lists every available question type — drag one onto the canvas to add it, or use the inline Add Question button that appears as you hover over the design surface.
Selecting any question, page, or panel opens its Property Grid on the right, where you set its title, description, validation rules and behaviour. Hovering over a question also reveals inline adorners for quick actions — reordering choices, duplicating the question, or marking it required — without opening the Property Grid at all.
Drag a question type from the Toolbox onto the canvas.
Set its title and, if needed, mark it required or add validation in the Property Grid.
Reorder questions by dragging, or use the element-type selector to swap a question's type without rebuilding it.
Switch to Preview to try the survey as a respondent would, then publish.
Tip
The Undo button in the Designer toolbar covers every change on the canvas, so it's safe to experiment with layout and question types before committing.
